Discovering Skincare Gems: A Look into My Holy Grail Products
Published by Insta Finds
In the realm of skincare, finding the perfect products can be a journey of trial and error. Today, I want to share some of my tried-and-true favorites that have become staples in my routine. These gems not only cleanse and moisturize but also cater to sensitive skin, making them a go-to for many skincare enthusiasts.
BIODERMA SENSBIO: Gentle Makeup Removal
Bioderma Sensbio is not just a makeup remover; it's a skincare essential. While it might not claim to be perfectly clean, it stands out as one of the cleaner makeup removal options. Ideal for sensitive skin with a physiological pH of around 5.5, it can be used with a cloth or cotton pad to effectively remove dirt, debris, and makeup. Some prefer using it after their cleanser for an extra clean feel, and that's perfectly okay too!
VANICREAM GENTLE CLEANSER: A Staple for Cleanse
Vanicream Gentle Cleanser has been a staple in my routine for years, especially during microneedling treatments. With a minimal amount of EDTA at the end of the label, it provides a gentle cleanse without compromising effectiveness. Its versatility makes it suitable for various skin types.
PEACH SLICES AND/OR THERMAL SPRING WATER: Toning Marvels
Toners play a crucial role, and here are two options that work wonders: – Peach Slices offers a salicylic acid solution (similar to Paula’s Choice 2%) with a cleaner ingredient label. This helps unclog pores, although it may lead to purging as it contains acid. Use it daily or adjust frequency based on your skin's tolerance. – Thermal Spring Water is a unique toner containing antioxidants and a combination of mineral salts and trace elements. Scientifically demonstrated for its skin-soothing properties, it refreshes and tones the skin. Use it daily instead of a typical toner. After cleansing, spray it on your face and leave it on for 2-3 minutes, removing any excess with a cotton swab or microfiber cloth.
VANICREAM DAILY FACIAL MOISTURIZER or LA ROCHE DOUBLE REPAIR MATTE MOISTURIZER: Hydration Heroes
- Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer is a go-to when my skin needs soothing, especially after microneedling. It caters to a wide range of skin types, making it a versatile choice.
- La Roche Double Repair Matte Moisturizer from the popular La Roche brand is an acne-safe option for those with oily skin. Sensitive to niacinamide? It's better to steer clear of this one.
Finding acne-safe SPF options at places like CVS or Walgreens can be a challenge, and face oils from these drugstores might not meet the quality standards. Unfortunately, I haven't found suitable options just yet.
In the pursuit of flawless skincare, these gems have proven their worth. Incorporating them into your routine might just be the secret to radiant and happy skin. Remember, skincare is personal, so feel free to tailor these recommendations to suit your unique needs. Happy glowing! ✨
